The Mission of the Manistique Department of Public Safety is to protect our Community through proactive law enforcement; by promoting a safe and secure environment, to protect persons and property, to maintain order, and educate the community concerning crime prevention methods; to save lives, and protect property through exemplary fire education, preparedness, prevention and response; and to provide quality Emergency Medical Services to the community, preserving life, improving health, and promoting safety.

 

The Manistique Public Safety Department is a combination Police, Fire and EMS department serving the Citizens of the City of Manistique, and greater Schoolcraft County.  There are 8 full time sworn Officers, 3 part time Officers, and a crew of 15 volunteer Firefighters, and 10 volunteer EMS Personnel.  Our Office is located at the Manistique City Hall and hours are from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.  For emergencies dial 911.  Daytime inside office number is (906) 341-2134 and our FAX is (906) 341-0106
